About Us

Bismarck Mandan Lacrosse Association

Bismarck Mandan Lacrosse Association (BMLA) was established in the Spring of 2014.

BMLA is a youth sports organization dedicated to promoting the sport of lacrosse to youth in the Bismarck-Mandan area. BMLA promotes and develops, through boys and girls participating in the sport of lacrosse, the knowledge of the rules, skills of lacrosse, and the qualities of sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect for coaches, officials, and players.

  • The mission of BMLA is to foster a life-long enjoyment for the game of lacrosse for youth boys and girls, residing in the Bismarck-Mandan area.
  • BMLA offers developmental programs for youth boys and girls from ages 6U up through high school. Programs will include teaching individual skills, the essentials of team play, proper physical conditioning, and most importantly, good sportsmanship and the game’s traditions.
  • Through its coaching staff and volunteers, BMLA will encourage players to develop a positive attitude, self-discipline, respect for others and the game, and commitment to the success of their team and BMLA.
  • BMLA will strive to make participation in the sport of lacrosse affordable, safe and a positive experience for players, coaches, and parents.
  • BMLA is a volunteer organization.

New players are welcome at any age level and into any program. Please do not shy away from registering your child from a program simply because they have never played before, including high school. You are welcome to come and observe what lacrosse is all about, and those not registered will be allowed to sample lacrosse with a coach off to the side of practice. However, in order to participate in regular practices, insurance requires that you have a current USA Lacrosse membership and register for the program.

Please see the other pages of our website for more information on our free try lacrosse event, equipment requirements, as well as the most current practice and game schedules.

The BMLA is an IRS approved 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Your donations are tax deductible.
