Bismarck Mandan Lacrosse Association

Established Spring 2014.

BE PART OF THE FASTEST GROWING SPORT ON TWO FEET!

"Lacrosse is the most fun I've had playing a sport.  I've played golf, football, basketball, track, and wrestling." per a high school player who played two years with us.

Update 5/26/020 - Even though we will not be having an official season, we still want to try and keep everyone excited about lacrosse.  So, we have two different apparel stores that we will be offering to show off your Bismarck Mandan Rattlers Lacrosse pride.  Both stores are available until June 1, and offer a wide variety of different artwork, clothing styles and colors.  The links to our different apparel stores are:

We understand that everyone is in a different situation right now, so please do not feel like you need to order from our store.  We are simply offering these based on input from our parent survey, and in an attempt to keep up the excitement and growth that BMLA has experienced over the last few years. We are extremely disappointed that we will not be having a season.  All registration fees are currently being refunded, but we hope to try and have some type of open lacrosse practices over the next few weeks, so please watch for additional information on that. Please continue to check your emails, visit our website and watch our Facebook page for the most current information and updates from BMLA.  Thank you to everyone for your support and patience.  If you have any questions, please reach out to us on our website, or message us on Facebook.

Update  4/30/2020 -  BMLA is continuing to monitor the current situation regarding the coronavirus, and the spread of COVID-19.  As the governor looks to opening businesses back up, we wanted to provide you with an update regarding the spring lacrosse season.

We regret to inform you that our travel season with the NPLL has been officially cancelled.  There will be no travel lacrosse season this spring.  However, there is still discussion with other NPLL teams to try and put together some game weekends towards the end of June.  These weekends would be a "pay to play" option, and would be more of a pick-up style, recognizing that there are still many kids who want to play lacrosse, but clubs may not be able to field a full team.  More information about these potential weekends will be determined later in May.  In regards to refunds, a final decision will be made on when and how to issue them based on what we are able to offer this spring.

For our non-travel season, we are still going to try and have lacrosse here in Bismarck.  It may be a slightly shortened season, or extend longer into June than originally planned, but we still want to get kids out on the field, especially those of you who participated in our TryLax Clinics this winter.  As soon as we are able to get back out on fields, we will.

Finally, please watch for a separate email from us regarding the proposed indoor recreational facility here in Bismarck.

Please continue to check your emails, visit our website and watch our Facebook page for the most current information and updates from BMLA.  Thank you to everyone for your support and patience.  If you have any questions, please reach out to us on our website, or message us on Facebook.

Check back frequently for the latest news.  We also have a Facebook page.

The Links page shows where lacrosse has been established in our part of the country.

Our goal is 4th-12th grade boys.  Body checking begins in U14.

A girls program is one of our next goals.  We have two coaches with experience in the girl's game.

Girls lacrosse is non-contact and very different than the boys game.  Fargo, Aberdeen, Rapid City, and Sioux Falls have girls programs.

Any willingness to officiate, coach, and/or help is appreciated.  We have four coaches with playing experience and four other coaches.  All eight are US Lacrosse certified.  No playing experience is necessary to coach.  If you've played/coached basketball, hockey, or soccer you can coach lacrosse.

Parents are also needed to perform crucial admin tasks on the field and behind the scenes.  Reach out to any coach or Board member if interested in volunteering!
