Referee Training

This event is FREE!  It is for the boys game.  Check back often for updates to details.  For other options see our Coaches page.

PLEASE, PLEASE TRY TO ATTEND!  Mason Short (DPLL's 2016 Official of the Year) out of Rapid City is putting this on for us as work brings him to Bismarck often.  He is doing this on his own dime, to grow the game, and give back to the game his family has grown appreciate.  He is working towards becoming a Official Trainer and this class will help him do that.  It is a big deal that Mason is doing this for us and becoming a trainer.

Register

When:  Saturday, March 25

Time:  8am-5pm - lunch will be provided

Where:  Conference room of KLJ's building (4585 Coleman Street) for the classroom portion.  Another location (grass/gym) for on-field instruction/demonstration.  If the KLJ building falls through we might be at a library, school, church, etc.

Who and Why:  For those who want to become a certified official or junior official.  Or those interested in learning more about the game.  Or your parents want you to kick in some gas money between games instead of working on your tan or staying warm in the vehicle.

If you are not interested in becoming certified but want to learn more about the game you are welcome to stop by at any point for any length of time.  Weekend access to the building may be limited but call Shaun and he can come let you in.

We will have three HS rule books for group use (they aren't cheap).  Coaches should bring their Boys Youth Rules books.

Here are the steps to become certified and remain certified, as well as some rules info.
